Radio City, India’s leading radio network, has launched the ‘Studio on Wheels’ initiative in Prayagraj, reinforcing its commitment to a cleaner and greener Mahakumbh.
The initiative was officially flagged off by Cabinet Minister A.K. Sharma, along with the Mayor of Prayagraj, the Commissioner of Nagar Nigam, and UP’s State Minister for Urban Development and Energy.
This innovative mobile studio, known as the ‘Swachhata Rath’, will traverse through Prayagraj, engaging devotees with on-air, on-ground, and digital experiences throughout the entire duration of Mahakumbh 2025 the largest human gathering in the world.
As the exclusive radio partner for Mahakumbh, Radio City’s ‘Swachhata Rath’ will actively promote cleanliness by distributing eco-friendly, non-plastic bags to devotees and amplifying messages on sustainability and hygiene.
Ashit Kukian, CEO, Radio City, emphasized the importance of innovation in driving change, stating, “Our ‘Studio on Wheels’ initiative not only captures the grandeur of Mahakumbh but also raises awareness about sustainable living and city hygiene. Along with Nagar Nigam Prayagraj, we are determined to make this a mindful celebration of religious devotion, cultural unity, and spiritual rejuvenation.”
A.K. Sharma, Cabinet Minister for Urban Development and Energy, Uttar Pradesh, echoed similar sentiments, adding, “Cleanliness is not just a responsibility but a resolution we must uphold. The ‘Swachhata Rath’ campaign aims to keep the Mela area clean and instill awareness that hygiene is an integral part of our lives. Nagar Nigam Prayagraj is fully committed to this initiative, and we urge citizens to actively participate in this mission.”
Beyond being a travelling studio, the ‘Studio on Wheels’ serves as a public awareness platform, broadcasting important messages related to Mahakumbh rituals, traditions, and environmental initiatives via PA systems. Radio City’s RJs will engage devotees with real-time updates, cultural insights, and compelling stories, ensuring that the spirit of Mahakumbh is celebrated with both devotion and responsibility.
With this initiative, Radio City aims to merge entertainment with purpose, making Mahakumbh 2025 an event that not only unites millions in faith but also drives a powerful message of cleanliness and sustainability.
