Publicis Groupe, a global leader in marketing and communications, has unveiled the appointment of Loris Nold as its forthcoming Global Chief Financial Officer, effective February 2024.
Nold, presently serving as CEO for the Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) operations, will succeed Michel-Alain Proch following the publication of the 2023 Full Year financial results. Proch will gracefully exit the role, ensuring a seamless handover, as he embarks on a new venture outside the company.
Nold’s ascent to the role of Global CFO is poised to fortify the financial arm of Publicis Groupe, capitalizing on his multifaceted expertise in finance, operational acumen, and profound comprehension of client requisites. His joining an already stellar finance team aligns with the company’s track record of maintaining leading financial ratios over two decades.
Having commenced his journey with Publicis Groupe in 2003, Nold’s trajectory encompasses a pivotal stint as an investment banker in New York and London before taking on pivotal roles within the Groupe. His portfolio included oversight of Mergers & Acquisitions and later expanding into Business Improvement. Subsequently, he assumed operational leadership and profit and loss (P&L) accountabilities for crucial Groupe operations across diverse global landscapes.
Noteworthy among his achievements was Nold’s tenure as CEO of Publicis in the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region, where he spearheaded a transformative journey, implementing a country-centric model that significantly boosted performance metrics. Transitioning to the role of EMEA CEO, Nold succeeded in erecting a robust regional infrastructure, attracting top-tier industry talent and concurrently registering robust financial performance across the region.
Come February 2024, Demet Ikiler, the current COO of EMEA, will assume the mantle of EMEA CEO. This transition will see the global hubs in France and the UK, alongside the U.S., directly reporting to Arthur Sadoun, Chairman & CEO of Publicis Groupe.
The strategic appointment of Loris Nold as Global CFO, coupled with key leadership transitions, underscores Publicis Groupe’s commitment to sustaining operational excellence and fortifying its global financial standing amidst an ever-evolving market landscape.
