IndiaDotcom Digital Private Limited (IDPL), the digital arm of Zee Media Corporation Limited (ZMCL), has bolstered its leadership team with the appointment of Priyadarshan Garg as Chief Business Officer (CBO).
The move reflects IDPL’s focus on accelerating digital transformation, building scalable content ecosystems, and strengthening revenue growth across platforms, the company said in a press release.
With more than 25 years of experience in the media and digital industries, Garg brings a rare blend of editorial expertise and business acumen. Since joining IDPL in April this year, he has been instrumental in the successful launch of Pinewz, one of the company’s fastest-growing digital-first ventures. His previous leadership stints at Zee5, Alibaba, Dainik Bhaskar, and TV Today underline his proven track record of steering organizations through innovation and large-scale growth.
In his new role, Garg will be responsible for aligning editorial direction with business strategy, unlocking new revenue opportunities, and scaling IDPL’s digital-first ambitions. “Digital is not just about content delivery—it’s about creating immersive, interactive, and trustworthy ecosystems where audiences feel engaged and empowered,” Garg said, emphasizing that his priority will be to harness data, technology, and creativity to expand IDPL’s relevance and credibility.
Welcoming him to the role, Karan Abhishek Singh, CEO of ZMCL, said, “Priyadarshan’s leadership comes at a crucial time when IDPL is scaling new heights in digital reach and influence. His deep industry insights, combined with his ability to deliver transformative strategies, will play a vital role in shaping IDPL’s future.”
The appointment marks a significant step in IDPL’s journey to cement its position as a digital-first powerhouse, committed to truth-driven journalism, innovative content solutions, and delivering long-term value for both audiences and partners.
