Prime Video has released the trailer for its much-anticipated Original docuseries ‘Angry Young Men’, set to premiere on August 20. The three-part docuseries offers a captivating look into the personal and professional journey of the iconic writer duo Salim Khan and Javed Akhtar, famously known as Salim-Javed.
In the 1970s, Salim-Javed redefined Indian cinema by introducing the concept of the ‘angry young man’ in a film industry that was largely dominated by romance. Their innovative approach not only transformed Bollywood’s storytelling but also popularized action dramas, cementing their legacy as pioneers of a new cinematic era.
Produced by Salman Khan Films, Excel Media & Entertainment, and Tiger Baby, ‘Angry Young Men’ is executive produced by Salma Khan, Salman Khan, Ritesh Sidhwani, Farhan Akhtar, Zoya Akhtar, and Reema Kagti. The docuseries marks the directorial debut of Namrata Rao and promises to be a deep dive into the influential careers of Salim-Javed.
