Prime Video has introduced CN Rewind, a Warner Bros. Discovery digital channel, as an add-on subscription service in India. Dedicated to Cartoon Network’s iconic classics, the channel features beloved titles such as ‘The Powerpuff Girls’, ‘Tom & Jerry’, ‘Scooby-Doo’, ‘Johnny Bravo’, ‘Looney Tunes’, ‘Dexter’s Laboratory’, and ‘Samurai Jack’.
Available in both Hindi and English, CN Rewind offers an introductory subscription price of INR 199 per year, with renewals priced at INR 249 annually.
Gaurav Bhasin, Head of Marketplace (Add-on Subscriptions and Movie Rentals) at Prime Video India, highlighted the emotional connection Indian audiences have with animation. “Animation is a popular category on Prime Video across demographics. CN Rewind brings timeless stories to both nostalgic fans and younger viewers discovering these classics for the first time,” said Bhasin. He noted that Prime Video’s add-on subscription model has enabled content providers to reach deeper into the Indian market.
Ruchir Jain, Head of Distribution, South Asia at Warner Bros. Discovery, echoed this sentiment, stating, “CN shows are more than cartoons—they’re cherished memories. CN Rewind offers a modern platform for reliving these memories and sharing them with today’s generation.”
Prime Video has steadily built its reputation as a platform for exclusive content. Through its add-on subscription offerings, it caters to diverse tastes, from nostalgic favorites to new entertainment formats. With CN Rewind, the platform continues its mission to serve content tailored to Indian audiences.
This new digital channel aims to reignite the love for classic animation while bridging generational gaps, providing families a shared viewing experience.
