Prime Video has expanded its entertainment marketplace in India with the launch of Moviesphere+, a new add-on subscription offering a wide library of Hollywood films, classic hits and acclaimed TV shows. The service, part of Lionsgate’s global content portfolio, is now available to Prime Video customers at an introductory annual price of Rs.399.
According to a Prime Video press release, Moviesphere+ arrives as the platform’s latest premium add-on, bringing a diverse catalogue of blockbuster titles, award-winning dramas and fan-favourite series under one destination. The offering strengthens Prime Video’s position as a unified streaming hub where users can discover premium content from multiple global providers without switching between apps.
Moviesphere+ includes a robust mix of films such as ‘The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes’, ‘Borderlands’, ‘Prisoners’, ‘P.S. I Love You’, ‘Juno’, ‘Jackie Brown’, and the cult classic ‘The Princess Bride’. The subscription also features renowned TV shows including ‘Mad Men’, ‘Weeds’, ‘Black Sails’, ‘Anger Management’, and the newest season of ‘The Rookie’ (Season 7), giving viewers access to both legacy titles and fresh releases.
“We are delighted to launch Moviesphere+ as the newest addition to our add-on subscriptions on Prime Video,” said Gaurav Bhasin, head of marketplace (add-on subscriptions and movie rentals) and Prime Video Ads, India. He added that Prime Video’s add-on ecosystem has become a major launchpad for international streaming brands expanding into India, offering customers “more choice and convenience” while bringing top-tier global stories to a wider audience.
Prime Video highlighted that add-on subscriptions simplify the viewing experience by eliminating multiple logins, billing cycles and app switching. Users can search across all subscribed services, receive unified recommendations, and maintain a single watchlist and download library. The company currently hosts over 30 OTT services through this model, significantly expanding content discovery for its viewers.
Moviesphere+ is available at the special price of Rs.399 per year for the first three months, after which it will renew at Rs.699 annually. With its combination of mainstream blockbusters, cult favourites and prestige TV, the new service is expected to strengthen Prime Video’s Hollywood offering and appeal to Indian audiences seeking high-quality, ad-free international entertainment within a single platform.
