Netflix on Tuesday unveiled the official trailer and new stills for the fifth season of its hit romantic-dramedy series ‘Emily in Paris’. The upcoming season, comprising 10 episodes, is set to premiere globally on December 18.
The new chapter follows Emily Cooper as she steps into her expanded role as the head of Agence Grateau Rome. While the job marks a fresh professional milestone, her transition to a new city comes with its own set of challenges. A promising work idea unexpectedly spirals, triggering a chain of emotional and career complications that force Emily to reassess her path and regain a sense of balance.
According to PTI, Season 5 also delves deeper into Emily’s personal journey as she finds herself guarding a significant secret—one that affects an important relationship and shapes her choices through the season. As she navigates the fallout, the story continues to blend workplace drama, romantic tension and the show’s signature escapist charm.
Created, executive produced and written by Darren Star, the series continues to be backed by a strong team of executive producers, including Tony Hernandez, Lilly Burns, Andrew Fleming, Stephen Brown, Alison Brown, Robin Schiff, Grant Sloss and Joe Murphy.
The ensemble cast returns with Lily Collins as Emily Cooper, alongside Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu (Sylvie Grateau), Ashley Park (Mindy Chen), Lucas Bravo (Gabriel), Samuel Arnold (Julien), Bruno Gouery (Luc), William Abadie (Antoine Lambert), Lucien Laviscount (Alfie) and Eugenio Franceschini (Marcello). The season also features Thalia Besson, Paul Forman, Arnaud Binard, Minnie Driver, Bryan Greenberg and Michèle Laroque in key roles.
With its new setting, shifting relationships and the theme of “embracing the detour,” Season 5 promises another glossy ride filled with fashion, drama and reinvention.
