‘Pathaan‘, starring Shah Rukh Khan, is set to be available for streaming on Prime Video after a 50-day run at the global box office.
The streaming service announced on its social media accounts that the globetrotting spy thriller, which marked Shah Rukh’s return to leading man roles after a four-year absence, will make its streaming debut on its platform on Wednesday.
‘Pathaan’s OTT debut follows the film’s new box office records. It has become the highest-grossing Hindi film ever, earning over Rs 540 crore in India and Rs 1046 crore worldwide.
“We sense a turbulence in the weather, after all, Pathaan is coming #PathaanOnPrime, Mar 22 in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu,” Prime Video tweeted.
The Siddharth Anand-directed film, starring Shah Rukh, was released in theaters on January 25 and has already become the year’s biggest blockbuster.
‘Pathaan’, which is produced by Yash Raj Films (YRF), also stars John Abraham, Deepika Padukone, Dimple Kapadia, and Ashutosh Rana.
‘Pathaan’ follows the titular spy (Shah Rukh) as he returns from exile to prevent terrorist group Outfit X from launching a crippling attack on India.
It is the fourth film in Aditya Chopra’s spy universe, following Salman Khan’s ‘Ek Tha Tiger’ and ‘Tiger Zinda Hai’ and Hrithik Roshan’s ‘War’.
