Paramount+, the streaming service from Paramount, has announced the international rollout of Premium and Advertising tier subscriptions.
The Premium plan is set to launch in Australia, Brazil, Canada and Mexico on November 16, offering Paramount’s movies, exclusive originals and hit shows in premium quality formats, including 4K UHD, HDR10, and Dolby Vision, a report in Advanced Television said.
Premium subscribers can also utilise four concurrent streams (instead of the two streams that come with the standard plan). Additional markets will follow.
The advertising tier will roll out in select international markets, including Australia and Canada, starting in 2024. In Mexico and Brazil, Paramount+ will continue to offer the Mobile tier instead, which launched in April.
“After expanding our footprint to more than 45 markets last year, we are focused on scaling our business and providing customer choice. Following the launch of the Mobile plan in Mexico and Brazil, the introduction of the Premium and Ad-supported plans will give us the ability to better serve different consumer segments by providing multiple pricing options while also tapping into tremendous opportunities among our advertising and brand partners,” Advanced television quoted Marco Nobili, Executive Vice President and International General Manager for Paramount+, as saying.
