The upcoming episode of ‘India’s Best Dancer Season 5’ will feature an emotional and nostalgic moment as actress Madhuri Dixit looks back on her childhood, family values, and inspiring journey to becoming one of Bollywood’s biggest stars.
According to a SET press release, During the show, Madhuri became emotional after watching a special video celebrating her life and career. the touching tribute brought back many memories, prompting her to share stories from her growing-up years in Mumbai’s JB Nagar.
Madhuri fondly remembered a time when neighbours were like family and everyone lived together with a strong sense of community. she shared how children would freely visit each other’s homes, families would share meals, and people always looked out for one another. according to her, those simple moments created some of the happiest memories of her life.
Talking about her childhood, Madhuri said that her family did not have many material comforts, but they were always happy. she recalled spending her days playing with dozens of children from nearby buildings and enjoying a carefree life filled with friendship, fun, and togetherness.
The actress also revealed that her dance journey began in JB Nagar when she was just three years old. she trained in dance there and continued living in the area even after the release of her first film, Abodh. however, after the massive success of ‘Tezaab’, her growing popularity made it difficult for the family to stay there due to security concerns, leading them to move elsewhere.
Reflecting on her upbringing, Madhuri said that her humble background taught her one of the most important lessons of life—that happiness does not depend on money, fame, or success. She explained that even when her family had very little, they were content and grateful, and that mindset has stayed with her throughout her life.
Her heartfelt reflections left everyone emotional and served as a powerful reminder that true happiness comes from love, relationships, good values, and cherished memories rather than material possessions.
