Dangal, a leading General Entertainment Channel (GEC) under the Enterr10 Television Network, has appointed Nivedita Basu as Vice President – Fiction (Hindi, Oriya, Bangla), according to the media reports.
With over two decades of experience in the television industry, Basu’s appointment marks a significant milestone in Dangal’s plans to expand and innovate in the regional and national markets.
Basu is widely recognized for her groundbreaking work at Balaji Telefilms, where she was instrumental in producing iconic shows such as ‘Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi’ and ‘Kasautii Zindagii Kay’. With a career that includes over 100 successful television shows, her expertise spans audience engagement, content creation, and production management.
In her previous role as Senior Vice President (Content) at Atrangii, Ullu, and Hari Om App, she played a pivotal role in turning brands into profitable ventures. Basu also spearheaded the launch of India’s first devotional channel, Hari Om, showcasing her versatility and creative insight.
Under Basu’s leadership, Dangal aims to enhance its fiction offerings and explore growth opportunities across diverse markets. Known for delivering compelling programming, Dangal expects Basu’s creative vision and industry knowledge to propel its fiction lineup to new heights.
Her responsibilities will include overseeing ongoing projects, identifying innovative content strategies, and shaping the channel’s future in Hindi, Oriya, and Bangla fiction segments.
