Nitin Burman has joined Balaji Telefilms as Group Chief Revenue Officer (CRO), adding a wealth of experience across digital media, telecom, and entertainment to his new role, he updated hi Linkedin profile.
Previously, Burman held several leadership positions at aha, a regional OTT platform, where he contributed significantly to revenue growth and brand development.
Burman joined aha in May 2021 as AVP – Brand Solutions, managing National Brand Solutions and Creative Services. His expertise led to a rapid ascent: by November 2022, he was promoted to Vice President and Head of Non-Subscription Revenue, overseeing branded content, AVOD, syndication, YouTube, and intellectual property (IP) monetization. Most recently, he served as Senior Vice President and Head of Non-Subscription Revenue before transitioning to Balaji Telefilms.
With over a decade in the industry, Burman brings diverse experience from previous roles at Radio Mirchi, where he led Maharashtra’s revenue operations, and Citibank, where he started his career in sales and distribution.
His telecom tenure included positions at Airtel as Head of Marketing for 4G and at Jio as Head of Strategy & Acquisitions for large enterprise and campus stores.
