News18 India has further strengthened its leadership in the Hindi news genre, leaving rival Aaj Tak trailing behind, according to the latest BARC ratings.

In a press note, the channel highlighted its consistent dominance in the Hindi news segment, with the latest data showing News18 India at 83,768 AMA’000s compared to Aaj Tak’s 79,108 AMA’000s. (Source: BARC | Metric: Avg. Weekly AMA’s | TG: NCCS All 15+ | Period: Wk 32’25–Wk 35’25, 24 Hrs, All Days | Market: HSM). This performance underlines the audience’s growing preference for News18 India’s sharp coverage and impactful storytelling.

The ratings also reaffirm the channel’s primetime supremacy. Between weeks 24 and 35 of 2025, News18 India registered a commanding 36,480 AMA’000s during the 6 pm–11 pm slot, while Aaj Tak was left behind at 27,916 AMA’000s. (Source: BARC | Metric: Avg. With this performance, News18 India has not only cemented its place as the No. 1 Hindi news channel but also deepened its connection with viewers across Hindi-speaking markets. The channel attributes its success to a focused editorial approach, speed in breaking news, and ground-level reporting that resonates with its wide base of viewers.

Anchors like Kishore Ajwani, Amish Devgan, Rubika Liyaquat, Prateek Trivedi, Aman Chopra, and Pankaj Bhargava continue to drive the channel’s primetime programming. From high-voltage debates to exclusive ground reports, the channel has been setting the news agenda and sparking national conversations.

News18 India, part of the broader News18 Network, has built a strong presence not only on television but also across digital platforms. Its ability to capture and sustain audience engagement across mediums has reinforced its dominance in an increasingly competitive Hindi news market.
