News18 India has introduced a new high-impact show titled ‘Command Centre’, featuring Major Gaurav Arya, amid the escalating conflict in West Asia. The programme is positioned as a daily war explainer aimed at decoding complex global developments for viewers.
According to a News18 press release, the show marks a shift away from conventional debate-driven formats, focusing instead on delivering clear, fact-based insights into military strategies and geopolitical developments. Designed as an “Insider War Room,” ‘Command Centre’ seeks to go beyond breaking news and visuals, offering a deeper understanding of how international conflicts impact everyday life, from fuel prices to broader economic consequences.
The show’s presentation is built around a high-stakes command centre setup, featuring large LED war maps, real-time graphics and a dedicated war alert radar to track evolving situations. At its core is Major Gaurav Arya, who brings military expertise to simplify complex strategies and developments, often distilling them into straightforward explanations for viewers.
Speaking on the launch, Jyoti Kamal, Managing Editor at News18 India, said the show is designed to provide accurate insights and a clear perspective on how global conflicts affect national security and household economics. She emphasised that the format aims to help viewers understand not just what is happening, but what it means and what could follow.
Major Gaurav Arya added that in times of conflict, clarity becomes crucial, and the show intends to cut through confusion by breaking down developments in simple terms. Highlighting the approach, he noted that the programme will track escalations closely while explaining their implications for India and its citizens.
‘Command Centre’ will air from 2.45 pm to 4.50 pm, Monday to Friday, with Major Gaurav Arya joined by Gaurav Shukla. With its immersive format and strong editorial focus, the show aims to position itself as a reliable destination for viewers seeking credible and easy-to-understand coverage of global conflicts.
