BIG FM hosted the second international edition of the BIG Impact Awards in Kuala Lumpur on April 5, bringing together Indian entrepreneurs, business leaders and changemakers on a global stage. The initiative builds on the brand’s legacy of celebrating unconventional success stories and impactful contributions across industries.
According to a BIG FM press release, the international chapter follows the platform’s debut in Vietnam and reflects the network’s continued effort to take Indian stories of excellence beyond borders. The Malaysia edition marked another step in expanding its global footprint while offering a distinctive international experience to its clients and partners.
The evening saw the presence of actor Neha Dhupia, who felicitated winners along with key dignitaries including Datuk Manoharan Periasamy and Nuwal Fadhilah Ku Azmi. A total of 39 categories were recognised, covering sectors such as auto, real estate, hospitality, health and wellness, education, fashion and lifestyle.
The awards honoured individuals and enterprises that have not only achieved business success but have also contributed meaningfully to community development. The event brought together influential voices under one roof, reinforcing the platform’s intent to spotlight journeys that inspire change and create lasting impact.
Speaking at the event, Ashit Kukian, CEO of BIG FM, said taking the BIG Impact Awards to Malaysia marked a significant milestone in building a global platform for recognition. He emphasised that the initiative aims to amplify stories of Indian entrepreneurs who deserve visibility beyond geographical boundaries and to provide them with a stage that celebrates both purpose and achievement.
With over 50 successful domestic editions, the international expansion adds a new dimension to the platform. The Malaysia edition was co-powered by State Bank of India and Life Insurance Corporation of India, further strengthening its industry backing.
