Netflix has announced that its upcoming Korean romantic comedy ‘Our Sticky Love’ will premiere globally on August 7, unveiling a teaser poster and trailer that introduce the lead characters and the series’ blend of romance, comedy and noir-style suspense.
The streamer yesterday said the show is designed as a feel-good Korean romance driven by the chemistry between its lead pair, Jung Hae In and Ha Young.
The series follows Go Eun-sae (Ha Young), an elite prosecutor who loses her memory after an accident, and Jang Tae-ha (Jung Hae In), a boxing coach who appears at her hospital bedside claiming to be her boyfriend. With no recollection of her past and no way to verify her identity, Eun-sae moves with Tae-ha to a rural taffy village, where their uneasy coexistence gradually develops into romance even as a criminal conspiracy from her past resurfaces.
The teaser also hints at the looming presence of crime boss Baek Sang-gil, played by Heo Sung Tae.
According to Netflix, the teaser trailer shifts from Eun-sae’s life as a high-flying Seoul prosecutor to her bewildering new reality in the countryside, balancing fish-out-of-water comedy with mystery.
The streamer described the show as a quintessential K-romance featuring nostalgic charm, “enemies-to-lovers” chemistry and an underworld intrigue that adds suspense to the love story.
‘Our Sticky Love’ reunites director Kim Jang-han and writer Mo Ji-hye, who previously collaborated on earlier projects.
The series stars Jung Hae In as former youth boxing champion-turned-coach Jang Tae-ha and Ha Young as ambitious prosecutor Go Eun-sae, with Heo Sung Tae joining the supporting cast as crime boss Baek Sang-gil. It is produced by Studio S for Netflix.
