Netflix has appointed Lori Conkling as its Head of Licensing, where she will oversee content acquisition for TV and film in the U.S. In this role, Conkling will be responsible for expanding Netflix’s content library, strengthening its presence in the competitive streaming market, and delivering value to its global subscriber base.
Conkling brings decades of experience in content partnerships and business development. Prior to Netflix, she served as Global Head of TV, Film, and Sports Partnerships at YouTube, where she played a key role in programming, packaging, and business development for YouTube TV, AVOD, SVOD, TVOD, and FAST services. She was also instrumental in securing the groundbreaking Sunday Ticket deal with the NFL, highlighting her expertise in sports licensing.
Before her six-year tenure at YouTube (Google), Conkling served as Executive Vice President of Strategy and Business Development for Digital Enterprises at NBCUniversal, where she spearheaded digital investments and commercial expansion. Her career also includes leadership roles in distribution at The Walt Disney Company, Lifetime Networks, and A+E Networks. At Disney, she played a crucial role in launching ESPNU, ESPN’s college sports network.
Conkling holds a B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Southern California and an MBA from Duke University.
