The much-anticipated fourth season of the critically acclaimed National Geographic series ‘Genius’ is set to premiere in the United States on February 1, 2024.
This latest installment, titled ‘Genius: MLK/X,’ will delve into the lives of two iconic figures from the Civil Rights Movement in the US: Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and Malcolm X.
The first two episodes of season four are scheduled to debut on February 1 on Nat Geo, with subsequent streaming on Disney+ and Hulu the following day. The series will offer viewers a fresh perspective on the lives and legacies of these two extraordinary individuals who played pivotal roles in the fight for civil rights, PTI reported from Los Angeles.
Starring Kelvin Harrison Jr. as Martin Luther King Jr. and Aaron Pierre as Malcolm X, the series also features Weruche Opia as Coretta Scott King and Jayme Lawson as Betty Shabazz.
Tragically, the fourth season marks one of the last roles for Ron Cephas Jones, who passed away in August 2023.

The ‘Genius’ series, known for its in-depth exploration of historical figures, began in 2017 with a focus on the life of renowned scientist Albert Einstein.
Subsequent seasons have featured Spanish painter Pablo Picasso and music icon Aretha Franklin, making it a significant and critically acclaimed anthology.
