The title of the upcoming Mohanlal-Lijo Jose Pellissery film, ‘Malaikottai Valiban’, has been revealed amid much fanfare. The film is supported by John & Mary Creative, Amen Movie Monastery, Century Films, and Max Lab.
Along with the release of the title, the film‘s technical crew has been revealed. PS Rafeeque, who worked with Lijo on Amen (2013), is writing the script.
On the technical side, the director has his go-to crew of cinematographer Madhu Neeekandan (Churuli), music director Prashanth Pillai (Amen, Ee.Ma.Yau), and editor Deepu Joseph (Jallikattu, Churuli). Tinu Pappachan, Lijo’s associate, also appears in this film.
Malaikottai Valiban has high expectations, despite the fact that filming has yet to begin. Director Lijo and his team are currently scouting locations in Rajasthan, where the majority of the film will be shot. Mohanlal is said to be playing a wrestler in the film, which is being shot on a large scale.
According to The Hindu, the team intends to begin filming in January 2023.
