Leading radio station Mirchi has returned with Season 6 of its social change initiative, ‘FLAT 983’, celebrating everyday heroes dedicated to making a difference in their communities.
The initiative, launched under the powerful tagline, ‘Unke liye ghar, jinhone kiya garv se sar upar (A home for those who made us proud)’, is a tribute to individuals committed to community service and social betterment, the radio network said in a press release.
Since its inception, ‘FLAT 983’ has honoured remarkable individuals who have made a real impact in fields such as social work, healthcare, education, and environmental conservation. This year, the platform gifted the ultimate reward—a dream flat—to Pooja Sharma, a hero whose dedication to uplifting others has been truly inspirational.
Season 6 continued the tradition of recognizing those who have made meaningful contributions to society, embodying the spirit of selflessness and dedication. The initiative began with a four-phase journey: teaser campaigns, opening nominations nationwide, a rigorous shortlisting process, and the final selection by an esteemed jury.
Nominees included Manvi Rai, an animal rights advocate dedicated to caring for stray dogs; Akash Ranison, an environmentalist focused on sustainability; Pooja Sharma, recognized for her brave efforts in cremating abandoned bodies; Rajat Rathore, a singing Delhi policeman and Ritik, a viral metro singer known for his soulful performances.
The season concluded with a grand event in Noida, where the five shortlisted participants were celebrated for their exceptional contributions. The highlight of the event was the announcement of Sharma as the ultimate winner.
