Prime Video is set to begin its live broadcast coverage of the ‘90th Masters Tournament’ on April 9, bringing viewers closer to one of the most iconic events in global sport. The coverage will originate from Augusta National Golf Club, United States, with live action starting at 1 pm on both Thursday and Friday, offering an extended window for the opening two rounds.

The details have been outlined in a Prime Video report, which highlights the platform’s expanded and immersive approach to this year’s tournament. For the first time, Prime Video will provide two additional hours of live coverage across the first and second rounds, giving fans a broader look at both morning and afternoon play as the world’s top golfers compete for the coveted Green Jacket.

Hosted by Terry Gannon from inside Augusta National’s Butler Cabin, the broadcast will feature on-course insights complemented by the CBS Sports team. The coverage will also include interviews with leading players and special guests, notably six-time Masters champion Jack Nicklaus, marking the 40th anniversary of his iconic 1986 victory.

A major highlight of Prime Video’s presentation is the introduction of ‘Inside Amen Corner’, an analytics-driven viewing experience focusing on holes 11, 12, and 3—widely regarded as one of the most challenging stretches in golf. This feed will incorporate advanced statistics, real-time ball tracking, swing analysis, and strategic overlays, offering viewers a deeper understanding of how players navigate this critical segment. The segment will be hosted by Justin Kutcher, alongside contributors including Geoff Ogilvy, Smylie Kaufman, and longtime caddie John Wood.

Across all four days, viewers will also have access to multiple viewing options such as Featured Groups and dedicated coverage of holes 15 and 16. Prime Video is further enhancing the experience with interactive features like Rapid Recap, which delivers key highlights in under two minutes, real-time leaderboard stats, and on-demand “Key Moments” clips that allow fans to revisit standout shots instantly.

Adding to the build-up, Prime Video has also released a feature-length documentary, ‘Rory McIlroy: The Masters Wait’, centred on Rory McIlroy and his long pursuit of a Masters title. The film traces his journey from the heartbreak of his 2011 collapse to his eventual triumph at the 2025 Masters, presenting a deeply personal and cinematic look at one of golf’s most compelling narratives.

With extended live coverage, multiple viewing feeds, and immersive storytelling, Prime Video’s debut presentation of the Masters aims to redefine how audiences experience the tournament, blending tradition with technology for a richer, more engaging broadcast.
