The Malayalam blockbuster ‘Lokah Chapter 1: Chandra’ is set to make its digital debut on JioHotstar from October 31, giving audiences across India the chance to experience Malayalam cinema’s first superwoman film from the comfort of their homes.
Directed by Dominic Arun and produced by Dulquer Salmaan under the banner of Wayfarer Films, the movie has been hailed as a groundbreaking entry in Malayalam cinema for its bold storytelling and visual scale. It has already enjoyed an impressive run at the Kerala box office since its theatrical release, earning both commercial success and critical acclaim.
According to industry reports, the film presents a refreshing take on the superhero genre through a strong female lead, making it one of the most ambitious projects in recent times. The narrative follows Kalyani Priyadarshan, who plays the titular role of ‘Chandra’, a woman with extraordinary powers navigating a world of chaos, hope, and destiny.
The ensemble cast includes Naslen, Sandy Master, Arun Kurian, Chandu Salim Kumar, Nishanth Sagar, Raghunath Paleri, Vijayaraghavan, Jain Andrews, Shivajith Padmanabhan, and Sunny Wayne.
