Live Times, India’s first global multicast news hub, successfully hosted the third edition of its flagship conclave Live Times Xchange at the Taj Palace in the capital on September 10. Themed ‘Mission Delhi @2047: Reinvent India’s Capital’, the event sparked a high-level dialogue on how Delhi can be transformed into a global, citizen-first capital in line with India’s long-term development goals.
According to a Live Times press release, the conclave brought together a cross-section of political leaders, policymakers, and experts, reinforcing its role as one of the rare platforms where diverse voices converge for fact-based and citizen-centric debates. The distinguished lineup included Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, MPs Sanjay Singh and Manoj Tiwari, Delhi ministers Kapil Mishra, Ashish Sood, and Parvesh Verma, Congress leaders Devendra Yadav and Alka Lamba, AAP Delhi President Saurabh Bhardwaj, Delhi Mayor Raja Iqbal Singh, as well as academics and legal luminaries such as JNU Vice Chancellor Prof. Santishree Dhulipudi, former AIIMS Director Dr. M.C. Mishra, and Justice Sudheer Aggarwal of the Allahabad High Court.
In his opening remarks, Dilip Kumar Singh, Founder and Editor-in-Chief of Live Times, underlined the channel’s mission to restore trust in journalism and governance debates. “‘Sampoorna Satya, Har Keemat Par’ is not just a slogan—it is our responsibility,” he said. “LT Xchange proves that when leadership and media collaborate on facts and public interest, the outcome is a stronger democracy and empowered citizens.”
The discussions were wide-ranging, covering infrastructure, governance, education, environment, and healthcare. Chief Minister Rekha Gupta laid out an ambitious plan to improve core infrastructure and public services, promising cleaner air, universal sewer pipelines, and a push for full electrification of public transport. She also announced a green initiative to plant seven million trees and pledged reforms in healthcare and education to restore Delhi’s credibility as a global capital.
Adding to the discourse, Minister Ashish Sood highlighted education as a central pillar of the 2047 vision, with plans for 75 new CM Shri Schools focusing on AI, robotics, and data science, as well as a ₹900 crore allocation for smart classrooms. Congress leader Alka Lamba, drawing from her political journey, credited Sheila Dikshit’s transformative tenure while urging today’s leaders to adopt long-term, accountable governance.
BJP MP Manoj Tiwari, sharing his own journey from Bhojpuri cinema to politics, defended migrants in Delhi and spoke of initiatives such as free healthcare under Ayushman Bharat, GPS-enabled water tankers to fight mafias, and Yamuna cleaning projects. He expressed confidence that with a “double-engine government,” Delhi was on a fast track to growth.
The conclave crystallised around five central themes for Mission Delhi @2047: transparent governance, sustainable infrastructure, EV-driven mobility, a knowledge-driven innovation ecosystem, and inclusive growth across healthcare, housing, and education. Across party lines, speakers echoed the need for citizen-first services and digitally empowered governance as critical to Delhi’s reinvention.
The event concluded with a sense of optimism, highlighting that Delhi’s future rests on collaboration and accountability. As the capital looks ahead to 2047, Live Times Xchange signaled that when diverse voices unite under the banner of truth and progress, Delhi can set a global benchmark for inclusive urban development.
