Global Multicast News Hub – Live Times has announced the launch of its new flagship weekly television show, ‘Kavivaar’, a first-of-its-kind format that combines poetry, satire, contemporary affairs and public discourse. The show will premiere on June 21 and will air every Saturday at 7 pm, with repeat telecasts scheduled on Sundays at 2 pm and 10 pm.
Hosted by renowned poet, author and stage performer Anamika Jain Amber, the one-hour program seeks to create a unique space where literature and journalism come together to discuss issues that shape the nation. Drawing inspiration from India’s rich literary and cultural heritage, ‘Kavivaar’ will feature prominent poets engaging in discussions and debates on political, social and national developments through the medium of poetry.
The show aims to offer viewers fresh perspectives on current affairs while blending thoughtful commentary with humour, satire and poetic expression. By presenting contemporary issues through creative storytelling and verse, ‘Kavivaar’ seeks to make public discourse more engaging and accessible to audiences.
According to the channel, the program has been conceptualized as a platform where citizens, intellectuals, writers and poets can express their views on important issues, contributing to a broader dialogue that reflects public sentiment and societal concerns.
The show will feature three distinct segments designed to encourage discussion and audience engagement. ‘Vaar-Palatvaar’ will see poets exchange arguments and counterarguments on major issues through poetry, presenting contrasting viewpoints. ‘Mann Ki Baat’ will offer participants an opportunity to share personal reflections and thoughts on national and social matters through original poetic compositions. The third segment, ‘Rapid Shaayar’, will bring a lighter and interactive touch with spontaneous poetry, humour and audience participation.
Speaking about the launch, Anamika Jain Amber said poetry has always been one of India’s most powerful mediums of expression. She noted that ‘Kavivaar’ aims to bring meaningful conversations into households through a blend of humour, wisdom and literary expression.
Dilip Singh, Founder and CEO of Global Multicast News Hub – Live Times, said that while journalism informs people about events and developments, poetry often helps explain their deeper significance. He described Kavivaar as an effort to bring together the strengths of both traditions to create insightful and thought-provoking discussions around contemporary issues.
With the launch of ‘Kavivaar’, Live Times continues its efforts to introduce innovative content formats that inform, engage and empower audiences while encouraging constructive public dialogue. The channel believes the show will offer a distinctive viewing experience by combining literature, satire and current affairs on a single platform.
