Actors Karan Kundrra and Tejasswi Prakash are set to headline a new reality series titled Desi Bling, which will begin streaming on Netflix from May 20.
According to a Netflix press release, the series is set against the backdrop of Dubai’s elite desi social circle and follows Karan Kundrra and Tejasswi Prakash as they navigate a glamorous world filled with luxury lifestyles, high-profile gatherings and social expectations. The show promises a mix of drama, humour, relationships and aspirational living, while offering viewers a glimpse into a world driven by status, style and influence.
The streaming platform described the series as a reality drama unfolding amid billionaire lifestyles, extravagant brunches, luxury fashion and larger-than-life personalities. However, beneath the glamour, the show also explores the challenges of fitting into a highly competitive and image-conscious social environment.
Speaking about the project, Karan Kundrra said the series gave both him and Tejasswi an opportunity to step into a space completely different from anything they have explored before. He hinted that the experience brought a fresh dynamic and allowed audiences to see another side of their personalities beyond scripted entertainment.
Karan Kundrra and Tejasswi Prakash remain one of television’s most talked-about celebrity couples and continue to enjoy a strong fan following across social media and digital platforms. Their pairing in ‘Desi Bling’ is expected to draw significant viewer attention, especially among younger audiences who closely follow celebrity-led reality content.
With reality entertainment continuing to gain popularity on OTT platforms, ‘Desi Bling’ adds another high-profile title to Netflix’s expanding unscripted content lineup. The show is expected to blend celebrity appeal with lifestyle-driven storytelling, offering viewers a mix of entertainment, glamour and personal moments from the lives of its lead stars.
