The next installment of the acclaimed ‘Knives Out’ series has added two new stars.
Josh O’Connor and Cailee Spaeny are set to join Daniel Craig in ‘Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery,’ directed by Rian Johnson. Johnson, who also penned the script, will produce alongside Ram Bergman through their T-Street Pictures, PTI reported.
While specific plot details remain under wraps, production is slated to begin next month, with a release planned for 2025. This film marks the third installment in the ‘Knives Out’ series, following the success of ‘Glass Onion’ in 2022.
Netflix secured the sequels with a record-setting $450 million deal.
Josh O’Connor, celebrated for his Emmy-winning portrayal of Prince Charles in ‘The Crown’ and his role in ‘God’s Own Country,’ is currently starring in Luca Guadagnino’s
‘Challengers’ and Alice Rohrwacher’s ‘La Chimera.’ He will also be seen in ‘The History of Sound’ alongside Paul Mescal. O’Connor is represented by CAA, Independent Talent, and Johnson Shapiro Slewett & Cole.
Cailee Spaeny recently portrayed Priscilla Presley in Sofia Coppola’s ‘Priscilla’ and starred in the A24 hit ‘Civil War,’ directed by Alex Garland. She will next appear in ‘Alien: Romulus’ by 20th Century Studios. Spaeny is represented by WME and Sugar23.
