Oscar-winning actor Jessica Chastain is teaming up with Hollywood star Ben Stiller for ‘The Off Weeks’, an upcoming limited series on Apple TV+.
The eight-episode drama promises to deliver a dark and gripping narrative, with both Chastain and Stiller also attached as executive producers.
According to a PTI report, the project will be directed by Michael Showalter, best known for ‘The Idea of You’ and ‘The Dropout’. The show will be helmed by Alissa Nutting, the co-creator of ‘Made for Love’, who serves as showrunner.
At the heart of the series is Gus Adler, a writing professor whose carefully balanced world begins to unravel following a divorce. While he works to maintain stability during his “on weeks” with custody of his children, his “off weeks” descend into turmoil when he becomes dangerously entangled with Stella West, a mysterious woman who disrupts both his sense of duty and his desires.
With its psychological depth, complex characters, and the star power of Chastain and Stiller, ‘The Off Weeks’ is shaping up to be one of Apple TV+’s most anticipated thrillers.
