Netflix has announced that its upcoming thriller ‘Inspector Zende’, starring Manoj Bajpayee and Jim Sarbh, will premiere on the platform on September 5. The streamer unveiled the trailer on Monday, giving audiences a first glimpse into the high-stakes drama.
According to a press release, the film is written and directed by Chinmay Mandlekar and produced by Jay Shewakramani and Om Raut. Bajpayee plays the role of Inspector Zende, a sharp and relentless officer, while Sarbh essays Carl Bhojraj, a charming but elusive figure who draws the inspector into a tense game of cat and mouse.
The film is loosely inspired by the real-life arrest of serial killer Charles Sobhraj by Mumbai police officer Madhukar Zende. With its mix of crime, suspense, and psychological tension, the film aims to explore the battle of wits between two complex characters.
The trailer hints at a gritty, fast-paced narrative anchored by Bajpayee’s steely determination and Sarbh’s enigmatic presence. Backed by the makers of notable Hindi films, the project is set to add another gripping title to Netflix’s crime drama lineup.
