India TV has unveiled a new avatar of its Speed News Channel, refreshing India’s first 24×7 speed news platform with a sharper focus on clarity, context, and viewer understanding. The revamped format marks a significant shift in how fast news is presented, aiming to ensure that speed no longer comes at the cost of comprehension.
According to an press release, the reimagined Speed News Channel moves away from the conventional format where headlines flash for just a few seconds, often leaving viewers struggling to grasp the full story. Under the new structure, each news item will now be presented for 25–30 seconds, giving audiences enough time to clearly understand the news while maintaining the brisk pace that defines speed bulletins.
The refreshed Speed News format is designed for viewers who want to stay informed quickly but meaningfully. It will continue to deliver timely updates on politics, major national developments, significant events, and key international stories, while ensuring that essential facts and context are not missed. The idea, the network says, is to make fast news more intelligible without slowing it down.
In addition to core news coverage, the new avatar places a strong emphasis on content that resonates with younger audiences. Regular updates on cinema and entertainment, sports, business and markets, gadgets, technology, and new product launches will be an integral part of the channel’s programming, making it more contemporary and relevant to today’s viewers.
Commenting on the revamp, Ritu Dhawan, Managing Director, India TV, said that audience expectations from fast news are clearly evolving. She noted that viewers now seek not just speed, but also clarity and context. “The new avatar of Speed News reflects this shift by balancing speed with better understanding. Our aim is to ensure viewers receive complete and clear information in a short span of time, while staying aligned with responsible news delivery,” she said.
With this transformation, India TV is reinforcing its position as a pioneer in the speed news genre. The updated Speed News Channel promises a clearer, smarter, and more engaging fast news experience, strengthening the network’s commitment to innovation in news delivery and viewer-first journalism.
