The much-awaited trailer of ‘War 2’ has finally dropped, igniting excitement among fans and promising a spectacular cinematic clash of titans. Directed by Ayan Mukerji and produced by Aditya Chopra under the YRF banner, the film features a stellar trio, Hrithik Roshan, Jr. NTR, and Kiara Advani , in lead roles.
What makes this trailer launch even more momentous is that it coincides with the 25th anniversary of both Hrithik Roshan and Jr. NTR in the film industry — a significant milestone being celebrated with one of the most anticipated action dramas of the year.
The trailer opens with a chilling monologue, “I will abandon my identity, my name, my family… and become a shadow.” It sets the tone for a dark, emotionally charged narrative filled with vengeance, betrayal, and heroic defiance.
Hrithik Roshan reprises his role as Kabir Dhaliwal, while Jr. NTR makes a thunderous entry as Veeran Raghunath, a mysterious and equally lethal counterpart. The visuals hint at a brewing war between these two forces, loaded with combat sequences, covert operations, and explosive stunts that rival international spy thrillers.
Though her presence is brief in the trailer, Advani’s role adds an emotional depth to the narrative, suggesting she may be the bridge—or the wedge—between the two leads.
Backed by YRF’s Spy Universe, ‘War 2’ is set to expand the franchise’s scale with a gripping storyline and cutting-edge action. With high production values, exotic international locations, and intense performances, the trailer gives a glimpse into what could be India’s next blockbuster action franchise entry.
The film will hit the big screen on August 14 in Hindi, Telugu and Tamil.
