GTPL Hathway Limited, a leading digital cable TV and broadband provider, yesterday announced its financial results for the quarter ending June 30, stating its Q1 revenue stood at Rs.8,506 million, which is a growth of 4 percent Q-o-Q and 9 percent Y-o-Y
It further stated that subscription revenue increased by 7 percent Y-o-Y, while EBITDA for Q1 FY25 stood at Rs.1,205 million. Q1 FY25 PAT stood at Rs.143 million, an increase of 12 percent Q-o-Q.
In a statement, GTPL Hathway said some of the highlights of the Q1 were as follows:
- Active digital cable TV subscribers stood at 9.60 million as of June 30, an increase by 100K Q-o-Q and 550K Y-o-Y.
- Paying subscribers stood at 8.90 million; increasing by 100K Q-o-Q and 600K Y-o-Y.
- Subscription revenue increased by 7 percent Y-o-Y to Rs. 3,193 million
- Broadband subscribers increased by 10K Q-o-Q and 70K Y-o-Y, thus the total standing at 1030K.
- Homepass as on June 30 stood at 5.90 million, which saw an addition of 500K Y-o-Y. Of the 5.90 million, 75 percent were available for FTTX conversion.
- Average revenue per user (ARPU) for broadband stood at Rs.460 per month per subscriber for the year.
- Average data consumption per user per month stood at 350GB, an increase of 13 percent Y-o-Y.
Commenting on the results, GTPL Hathway MD Anirudhsinh Jadeja said, “I am pleased to announce that the company has reported a consistent performance for the quarter driven by focus on operational efficiency and rising subscriber traction in the cable TV segment, aided by sporting events such as IPL and Cricket World Cup.
“The recent round of price hikes announced by all major telcos make the prospect of private wireline broadband at home even more appealing, thus making our offering in the broadband segment even more competitive.”
