Google India has launched a new campaign, ‘Google Search – Samjhe. Samjhaaye. Raah dikhaye.’, highlighting the everyday usefulness of AI Mode in Google Search. The campaign showcases how Search is evolving beyond quick factual queries to help users work through more nuanced and multi-step questions.
In a Google blog today, the company said the campaign is based on the insight that during significant everyday moments and new beginnings, people often need more than a single piece of information. They may need help organising their thoughts, understanding their options and figuring out what to do next. AI Mode in Google Search allows users to ask longer, conversational questions and continue with natural follow-ups, with responses supported by relevant sources from across the web.
Conceptualised and written by Prasoon Joshi, Chairman, Omnicom Advertising India, and developed by Google India in collaboration with McCann India, the campaign aims to bring this use of AI Mode to life through relatable situations.
The launch film follows Karan, a young man preparing for competitive exams who dreams of opening his own café. However, he is unsure how to tell his father about his plans. He turns to AI Mode in Google Search to understand how he can approach the conversation and where he should begin.
As Karan continues the conversation, AI Mode helps him structure a practical plan for his business idea. This includes understanding the needs of students around him and exploring relevant financing options. The interaction gives him greater clarity and preparation to take the next step and speak to his father about his plans.
The film is the first in a series conceptualised to demonstrate the usefulness of AI Mode in Google Search through everyday situations. Rather than focusing only on providing an answer to a single question, the campaign presents AI Mode as a tool that can help users think through a problem, explore possibilities and follow up with additional questions.
Speaking about the campaign, Prasoon Joshi said the stories are based on moments when the question people type into a search bar may not necessarily be the question they are really trying to answer. He said the campaign explores how AI Mode can support users when they are trying to think through something, making Search feel less like a traditional search bar and more like a helpful guide.
The campaign has been developed with creative contributions from Ashish Nath, Anshuman Singh, Dushyant Chopra and Sujan Sarkar. Dheeraj Sinha, Kamal Basu, Tanisha Sharma, Siddharth Bhattacharya, Sankalp Srivastava and Saurabh Awana handled the business side, while Sumeer Mathur led the strategy.
The films have been led by Jitender Kalra and Sameer Relia, with Chrome Pictures serving as the production house and Amit Sharma as the director.
Through ‘Samjhe. Samjhaaye. Raah dikhaye.’, Google India aims to demonstrate how AI Mode can fit into everyday decision-making, particularly when users are dealing with questions that require context, multiple steps and practical guidance rather than a single search result.
