The much-anticipated Punjabi-language film ‘Godday Godday Chaa 2’ is all set to hit theatres on October 22, the makers announced yesterday. The sequel to the 2023 comedy-drama has generated excitement among audiences, especially after the original film won widespread acclaim.
According to a PTI report, the announcement comes just a day after the film was awarded the National Film Award for Best Punjabi Film at the 71st National Film Awards, further boosting anticipation for its theatrical release. The recognition highlights the film’s contribution to Punjabi cinema and raises expectations for the sequel.
Directed by Vijay Kumar Arora and written by Jagdeep Sidhu, ‘Godday Godday Chaa 2’ stars Ammy Virk in the lead role. The original 2023 film featured Sonam Bajwa and Tania, and the sequel continues the comedy-drama’s narrative, promising to deliver the same humour, emotion, and entertainment that audiences loved in the first installment.
