Bennett, Coleman & Co. Ltd. (The Times of India) has named Gaurav Mashruwala as the President of Times Experiences, signaling a strategic expansion into the realm of experiential marketing.
Gaurav Mashruwala brings over 24 years of extensive experience in media, entertainment, and sports to his new role. A commerce graduate from the University of Mumbai and an MBA holder from KJ Somaiya, Gaurav has previously served as Vice President and Business Head for INS Live business at Viacom18 Media, where he played a pivotal role in driving business growth and managing profit and loss.
In his new capacity at The Times of India, Gaurav Mashruwala will oversee the growth and profitability of the company’s experiential marketing business. His responsibilities will encompass the creation and execution of innovative experiential solutions, including brand IPs, brand solutions, and business conclaves. He aims to drive a comprehensive revenue strategy for the experiential business, leveraging existing IPs while designing new creative formats. Additionally, he will spearhead new business ventures by identifying market opportunities, harnessing new technologies, and developing offerings and business models for both B2B and B2C sectors.
The appointment underscores The Times of India’s commitment to expanding its footprint in the experiential marketing arena, aiming to enhance engagement with audiences through immersive brand experiences and innovative marketing solutions.
