Actor Dulquer Salmaan has officially announced the sequel to ‘Lokah Chapter 1: Chandra’, confirming that Malayalam star Tovino Thomas will play the lead role in ‘Lokah Chapter 2’.
The update was shared on Friday, sparking excitement among Malayalam cinema fans who had been anticipating the next chapter in the franchise.
According to a PTI report, the sequel will be directed by Dominic Arun, who also helmed the first installment, ensuring continuity in storytelling and vision. The filmmaker, known for his layered narratives, will once again take charge of writing and directing the project.
‘Lokah Chapter 1: Chandra’, which starred Kalyani Priyadarshan, Sandy, and Naslen, released in theatres on August 28 and was produced by Dulquer Salmaan under his home banner, Wayfarer Films. The film opened to a warm reception for its fresh approach and ambitious storytelling, laying the groundwork for what now appears to be a franchise.
Announcing the sequel, Salmaan expressed confidence that ‘Lokah Chapter 2’ will build on the momentum of the first part and offer audiences an even more compelling narrative.
