‘Jogi’ star Diljit Dosanjh has joined the cast of ‘The Crew’, which also includes Kareena Kapoor Khan, Tabu and Kriti Sanon, the makers announced Tuesday.
The film, billed as a comedy of errors and mishaps set in the struggling airline industry, is directed by Rajesh Krishnan and produced by Rhea and Ektaa Kapoor. Rhea Kapoor stated that the team is ecstatic to have Dosanjh on board.
“We are thrilled to have Diljit join the cast given his discerning eye for quality projects. This film has always had a unique destiny; it is unlike any other entertainment you have seen.
“The cast and I are thrilled to be providing audiences with an exciting and memorable cinema experience,” said the producer in a statement.
According to the official synopsis, the film follows three women who work and hustle to get ahead in life. But, as they try to move forward, fate throws them into some unexpected and unwarranted situations, trapping them in a web of lies.
Rhea and Ektaa previously worked together on the 2018 buddy comedy ‘Veere Di Wedding’, which also starred Kareena. Kareena and Diljit’s third film after ‘Udta Punjab’ in 2016 and ‘Good Newwz’ in 2019.
‘The Crew’, co-produced by Balaji Motion Pictures Limited and Anil Kapoor Productions, is expected to begin production by the end of March.
