The world of ‘Dhurandhar’ is set to turn darker and more unforgiving with the announcement of its second instalment, ‘Dhurandhar: The Revenge’. The makers on Monday unveiled the film’s title and first poster, even as the original continues its successful theatrical run.
The newly released poster signals a sharp tonal shift from the first film. Ranveer Singh is seen in a striking new look, clad in a black trench coat against a blood-red backdrop, hinting at a grimmer and more intense chapter ahead. The visual suggests that the sequel will push the franchise into deeper emotional and narrative territory, with revenge firmly at its core.
Directed by Aditya Dhar, ‘Dhurandhar’ has been positioned by its makers as the biggest Hindi film of all time. With ‘The Revenge’, the franchise is set to expand further, laying the groundwork for a larger cinematic universe that builds on the themes and characters introduced in the first instalment.
‘Dhurandhar: The Revenge’ is written, directed and produced by Aditya Dhar. Jyoti Deshpande and Lokesh Dhar come on board as producers, with the film presented by Jio Studios and produced under the banner of B62 Studios.
The sequel is slated for a grand theatrical release on March 19, 2026, strategically timed with Eid, Gudi Padwa and Ugadi. The film will release across multiple languages—Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam—underscoring the makers’ ambition to take the franchise to audiences across the country.
With a new look for its lead, a darker promise of vengeance and a multi-language release plan, ‘Dhurandhar: The Revenge’ is shaping up as a high-stakes continuation of a franchise that aims to go bigger, bolder and far more ruthless than before.
