Indian-American actor Karan Soni, widely recognized for his role as Dopinder in the ‘Deadpool’ film series, is set to take the lead in the upcoming thriller movie ‘Fade to Black.’
The new project promises to delve into the darker sides of ambition and the entertainment industry, marking a significant addition to Soni’s diverse filmography.
In ‘Fade to Black,’ Soni stars as Amit, a screenwriter who finds himself entangled in a web of chaos following an accidental death that triggers a chilling realization, PTI reported.
The storyline unfolds as Amit resorts to committing murders inspired by his script’s fictional serial killer, all in a desperate bid to create the intellectual property necessary to bring his film to life. The film is positioned as a darkly comedic exploration of ambition, madness, and the often brutal reality faced by those trying to make it in Hollywood.
The film features a talented ensemble cast alongside Soni, including Katerina Tannenbaum, Max Carver, Rafael Casal, Gavin Leatherwood, Joseph Lee, John Carroll Lynch and Zosia Mamet.
‘Fade to Black’ also marks the directorial debut of Andrew Sandler, known for his work directing music videos for top artists such as Blink-182, Justin Bieber, Machine Gun Kelly and Ariana Grande.
With its intriguing premise and a strong cast, ‘Fade to Black’ is set to capture the attention of audiences and critics alike, exploring the intersection of creativity and morality within the entertainment landscape.
