Eight slots under Bucket D of the DD Free Dish e-auction are being held. So far, six out of the eight slots have been sold, which has fetched Prasar Bharati over Rs 99.4 crore.
As per industry sources, bidding for the last two slots is currently underway.
On the third day of the DD FreeDish MPEG-2 slot auction, Russia Today and Sanskaar secured the first two slots, each costing 18.10 crore. Sadhana acquired the third slot for Rs 16.25 crore.
While Sun Marathi claimed fourth slot for Rs. 15.70 crore, Aastha gets fifth slot for Rs.15.65 crore and Zee Puunjabi grabs the sixth slot for Rs. 15.60 crore. These slots were part of Bucket D, focusing on Devotional/Marathi/Punjabi.
The allocation of slots is for a one-year period, spanning from April 1, 2024, to March 31, 2025.
