CNBC-Awaaz

CNBC-Awaaz has issued a stern warning regarding fraudulent activities exploiting the name of their Managing Editor, Anuj Singhal.

Reports reveal a surge in deceptive schemes propagated through social media platforms like Facebook and Instagram, falsely associating with Anuj Singhal and CNBC-Awaaz.

Anuj Singhal, a prominent figure in financial journalism, categorically denies offering any investment advice or recommendations through platforms like WhatsApp groups or any other social media channels. Furthermore, he has no affiliation with groups peddling stock recommendations or financial guidance in exchange for joining WhatsApp groups. CNBC-Awaaz reiterates its stance of non-involvement in such deceitful activities, according to a press release from the business news channel.

The modus operandi of these fraudulent schemes involves the creation of fake profiles impersonating Anuj Singhal. These profiles, seemingly authentic at first glance, entice investors with promises of lucrative returns and fabricate claims regarding Anuj’s association with brokerage firms. However, vigilant scrutiny reveals disparities in handle names, follower counts, and the nature of posts, exposing their fraudulent nature.

In light of these alarming developments, CNBC-Awaaz urges the public to exercise caution and refrain from sharing personal or financial information with unknown individuals or groups. It is advised to disregard advice originating from unfamiliar sources and verify information solely from official channels. Maintaining secure practices for personal and financial transactions is paramount to safeguard against falling victim to fraudulent schemes.

For those encountering suspicious activities, CNBC-Awaaz advises promptly reporting such incidents to the appropriate authorities. Individuals are encouraged to visit www.cybercrime.gov.in or contact the helpline number – 1930, or the cyber cell of their local police department to report any fraudulent activities.

The proliferation of false ads impersonating Anuj Singhal underscores the importance of remaining vigilant in the digital sphere. CNBC-Awaaz remains committed to raising awareness and safeguarding the public against financial scams and fraudulent activities.
