‘The Mehta Boys’ made its Asia debut at IFFI, captivating audiences with its heartfelt exploration of familial dynamics. Directed by Boman Irani, the film delves into generational differences, shifting ideals of masculinity, and the delicate balance of affection and conflict within families. The narrative unfolds over two emotionally charged days, reflecting universal themes of identity and belonging.
Produced under Irani Movietone LLP and Chalkboard Entertainment LLP, the film is co-written by Irani and Alexander Dinelaris Jr., adding a layer of storytelling brilliance.

The film’s cast, including Boman Irani, Avinash Tiwary, Shreya Chaudhry, and Puja Sarup, attended the gala premiere alongside co-writer Alexander Dinelaris Jr. and producers Danesh Irani, Vikesh Bhutani, and Shujaat Saudagar. Notable attendees included Vrunda Manohar Desai from India’s Ministry of Information and Broadcasting and ESG Vice Chairperson Delilah Lobo.
Earlier, the film won the Best Feature Film Award at the Chicago South Asian Film Festival and Best Actor for Boman Irani at the International Film Festival of South Asia, Toronto.
‘The Mehta Boys’ is set to release on Prime Video, reaching audiences in over 240 countries. With its compelling narrative and stellar performances, the film promises to be a universal favorite.
