Filmmaker and producer Arindam Bhattacharya has announced the launch of Matrix One, a premium Bengali OTT platform scheduled to debut in the second half of 2026. The platform aims to offer a curated slate of high-quality Bengali content, combining original productions, classic cinema, and informative programming under a single digital destination.
The venture will be backed by Bhattacharya’s production house, Dreamliner Entertainment, which has produced acclaimed films including ‘Antarleen’, ‘Flat No. 609’, ‘Antardhaan’, ‘Shibpur’, and ‘Durgapur Junction’.
Matrix One plans to build a diverse content portfolio comprising web series, feature films, short films, documentaries, travel shows, lifestyle content, food programming, and health and fitness-focused productions.
The platform will launch with several original productions, including ‘Shibpur – The Prequel’, Bhattacharya’s first web series and a prequel to his 2023 feature film ‘Shibpur’. The launch slate will also feature ‘Durgapur Junction’, starring Vikram Chatterjee and Swastika Mukherjee, alongside the web series ‘Dugga’ by Sayan Banerjee and a web film directed by Atanu Ghosh.
Speaking about the initiative, Bhattacharya said that Matrix One was the “culmination of my experience” in both corporate governance and creative storytelling.
