Avnish Barjatya, son of renowned filmmaker Sooraj Barjatya, is all set to make his directorial debut with the upcoming feature film titled ‘Dono,’ Rajshri Productions announced yesterday.
Rajshri Productions, the iconic family banner founded by Sooraj Barjatya’s family, revealed that ‘Dono’ is a love story that pays homage to the classic ‘Maine Pyar Kiya’.
The film will mark 75 years of Rajshri Productions in the Hindi film industry, continuing their legacy of delivering wholesome family entertainment.
‘Dono’ will be the 59th film produced by the production house, and it introduces two newcomers in the lead roles, promising a fresh and heartfelt love story, PTI reported.
Rajshri Productions expressed its excitement in passing the baton to the next generation by having Avnish as the director of this film, drawing parallels to the debut of his father, Sooraj R Barjatya, who directed the film ‘Maine Pyar Kiya’, featuring Salman Khan and Bhagyashree.
The teaser of ‘Dono’ will be unveiled on July 25, creating buzz and anticipation among movie enthusiasts.
The film is produced by Kamal Kumar Barjatya, late Rajkumar Barjatya, Ajit Kumar Barjatya and Jyoti Deshpande of Jio Studios. Sooraj Barjatya himself leads the creative production for this exciting new venture.
