Avinash Pandey, Secretary General, Indian Broadcasting and Digital Foundation (IBDF), was honoured with the ‘Most Versatile Personality of the Industry’ award at the XIIth BCS Ratna Award 2026, held at New Delhi.

The award recognised Pandey’s contribution and leadership in the media and broadcasting industry. The ceremony brought together prominent personalities and organisations from the broadcasting, cable TV, digital media, OTT, entertainment and technology sectors.

While accepting the honour, Pandey expressed his gratitude for being recognised by his industry colleagues. He also recalled his long association with Dr. A.K. Rastogi and credited him for identifying his talent early in his career.

‘Nothing like getting recognised amongst your colleagues. But I must tell you something about Dr. Rastogi. He was the first one to spot my talent,’ Pandey said while receiving the award.

Recalling his earlier recognition at the BCS Ratna platform, he said that around ten years ago, Dr. A.K. Rastogi had recognised him as the ‘Best Business Person of the Year’.

‘Ten years ago, on this platform, he recognised me as the Best Business Person of the Year, after which I almost won 10 awards,’ Pandey said.

He further thanked Dr. A.K. Rastogi and Aavishkar Media Group for honouring him once again and expressed his gratitude to everyone present at the ceremony.

The XIIth BCS Ratna Award 2026 recognised leading media organisations, broadcasters, content platforms and industry professionals for their achievements and contributions during 2025-26. Avinash Pandey was among the prominent individual award recipients at this year’s ceremony.
