NDTV has announced the appointment of Anupam Srivastava as Chief Executive Producer for NDTV India and its network of regional channels. With over two decades of experience in broadcast journalism, factual storytelling, and channel operations, Srivastava is set to bring a mix of editorial depth and operational expertise to the network.
According to a press release, Srivastava has led coverage of some of the most defining moments in recent Indian history, including the 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks and multiple high-stakes election nights. During his tenure at Times Now, Times Now Navbharat, and Times Chronicles, he also conducted two rare, exclusive interviews with the Prime Minister. His long-form work includes acclaimed factual series such as ‘Love Kills’ on Discovery+, ‘Tiranga’ on National Geographic India, ‘1971: Birth of a Nation’, ‘Tales of Valour, Kashmir: The Story’, and ‘Gallantry of Galwan’. His projects have been recognised with multiple NT Awards and ENBA honours.
Beyond editorial content, Srivastava has played a significant role in shaping the operational and visual identity of channels. From spearheading transitions from SD to HD and managing complete channel relocations to designing brand-defining visuals and commissioning original programming for global OTT platforms, he has consistently delivered high-quality results.
In his new role, Srivastava will oversee NDTV India’s flagship programming while driving content strategy, editorial direction, and brand positioning for the regional network. His focus will be on strengthening local storytelling, deepening engagement with diverse audiences, and ensuring that each regional market’s cultural and linguistic nuances are reflected in NDTV’s coverage.
“NDTV’s strength has always been credible, well-crafted storytelling,” Srivastava said on his appointment. “My focus will be on building on that strength across both national and regional platforms — refining our craft, and ensuring every story connects with viewers in a meaningful way.”
Rahul Kanwal, CEO and Editor-in-Chief of NDTV, said: “Anupam brings the judgement, experience, and creative focus to elevate NDTV’s premium content. His ability to translate editorial vision into high-quality execution makes him a valuable addition to the team.”
With Srivastava’s leadership, NDTV India and its regional channels are looking to deliver sharper, more impactful narratives — stories that are told with clarity, crafted with purpose, and reflective of the ambition and spirit of a changing India.
