The film ‘Lakadbaggha,’ starring Anshuman Jha and Milind Soman, will be released theatrically worldwide on January 13, the producers announced Thursday.
Victor Mukherjee directs the Kolkata-set film, which also stars Ridhi Dogra and Paresh Pahuja.
Based on true events, this film deals with the illegal animal trade industry. Jha expressed excitement about the film’s reception from the audience.
“‘Lakadbaggha’ is my love letter to dogs (and animals in general), and I can’t wait for the rest of the world to meet Arjun. His superpower is that he is ordinary.
“This is a universal film with an Indian soul set in Kolkata, and the action is unlike anything you’ve ever seen before,” said the actor in a statement.
‘Lakadbaggha’ premiered at the 28th Kolkata International Film Festival on Wednesday and will have its international premiere on December 28 at the HBO South Asian International Film Festival in New York. First Ray Films is in charge of the production.
