The trailer for the much-anticipated Punjabi film ‘Godday Godday Chaa 2’, starring Ammy Virk and Tania, has been released, promising a lively clash between men and women with a mix of comedy and social commentary.
A sequel to the National Award-winning original, the film takes audiences on a rollercoaster ride filled with laughter, tradition, and meaningful messages. The trailer highlights a story where women take charge of wedding celebrations, leaving men struggling to navigate their traditional roles in humorous and unexpected ways.
The narrative explores gender co-existence while blending comedy, family drama, and celebration. The film features Ammy Virk in the lead, alongside Tania, Gitaj Bindrakhia, Gurjazz, Nirmal Rishi, Nikeet Dhillon, and Sardar Sohi.
Speaking about the film, Ammy Virk said, “Seeing the characters adapt, stumble, and grow in this new setup was both fun and challenging as an actor. The energy on set was infectious, and I can’t wait for audiences to enjoy this rollercoaster of laughter and emotion,” as per a press release from the makers.
Tania added that the film shows how men and women can work together, sharing responsibilities in a fair and fulfilling way. Director Vijay Kumar Arora said the sequel strikes a balance between humour and heart. “The narrative celebrates co-existence and mutual respect, highlighting how traditions can evolve without losing their essence,” he explained.
Produced by Umesh Kumar Bansal and Varun Arora under the banner of Zee Studios and VN Entertainment, ‘Godday Godday Chaa 2’ is scheduled to release in theatres on October 21, 2025.
