Amazon MX Player has announced its most expansive content slate yet, unveiling more than 150 new and returning shows for 2026. The free streaming platform said the upcoming line-up will span multiple genres, formats and storytelling styles as it continues to expand premium entertainment offerings that are accessible to audiences across India at no cost.

According to a press release, the platform’s new slate reflects its growing ambition to democratise premium streaming content while reaching viewers across urban and non-metro markets. With this extensive programming pipeline, Amazon MX Player aims to strengthen its position as one of India’s largest free streaming services.

Among the marquee titles in the slate is ‘Made In India: The Titan Story’, starring Naseeruddin Shah and Jim Sarbh. The series centres on ambition and the journey of building a legacy. Another major title is ‘Sankalp’, a socio-political thriller featuring Nana Patekar, Sanjay Kapoor, Neeraj Kabi and Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub, exploring the complex world of power and leadership.

The upcoming slate also includes thriller and justice-driven narratives such as ‘Ab Hoga Hisaab’, starring Shaheer Sheikh, Mouni Roy and Sanjay Kapoor, along with administrative drama ‘The Bureaucrat’ featuring Amol Parashar. The platform is also introducing action and survival stories including ‘Kaptaan’ starring Saqib Saleem and survival thriller ‘Vimal Khanna’ headlined by Sunny Hinduja.

Other notable titles include cop drama ‘Waiting Hai’ featuring Divyenndu Sharma and Bhuvan Arora, as well as crime drama ‘Clean Up Crew’ starring Ravi Kishan, Amey Wagh and Vishal Jethwa. These titles collectively reflect the platform’s growing scale and evolving storytelling approach.

The new slate builds on the momentum generated by recent releases such as ‘Amar Vishwas’, starring Rajeev Khandelwal, Aamir Ali, Ravi Behl and Barkha Bisht, which gained attention for its courtroom drama narrative. The platform also saw strong engagement with romantic thriller ‘Psycho Saiyaan’, featuring Tejasswi Prakash and Ravi Kishan.

In addition, Amazon MX Player will expand several of its popular franchises with new seasons including ‘Raktanchal’ Season 3, ‘Campus Beats’ Season 6, ‘Campus Diaries’ Season 2, ‘Heartbeats’ Season 2 and ‘Who’s Your Gynac’ Season 2, strengthening the platform’s connection with younger audiences.

In the unscripted segment, the service will bring back the reality format ‘Rise & Fall’ Season 2, which is licensed through All3Media International and was originally created by Studio Lambert in the UK. The slate also includes ‘Battleground’ Season 2, India’s fitness reality show led by mentor Shikhar Dhawan. The platform recently concluded ‘Bharat Ke Super Founders’, hosted by Suniel Shetty, where promising startups collectively received Rs.100 crore in funding.

A major pillar of Amazon MX Player’s 2026 strategy is the expansion of ‘MX Fatafat’, its micro-drama format offering short, mobile-first storytelling. The platform is also strengthening ‘MX Vdesi’, which brings localised international content from Korea, China and Turkey, along with a curated library of anime titles available in Japanese and Hindi.

Girish Prabhu, Head of Amazon Ads India, said the scale of the 2026 slate combined with a reach of over 250 million users offers brands a strong opportunity to connect with audiences through immersive streaming experiences. Karan Bedi, Head of Amazon MX Player, added that the platform is witnessing strong momentum as more viewers embrace free premium streaming.

Amogh Dusad, Head of Content at Amazon MX Player, said the focus remains on building a diverse content ecosystem that reflects the voices and experiences of audiences across the country. Meanwhile, Aruna Daryanani, Head of Product, Tech and Marketing, noted that the platform’s rapid audience growth is also driving stronger engagement from advertisers.

As the 2026 content slate rolls out, viewers across India will be able to stream all the shows for free on Amazon MX Player, which is available across mobile devices, connected TVs, the Amazon shopping app, Prime Video, Amazon Fire TV, JioTV and Airtel Xstream.
