Amazon MX Player is set to launch its latest romantic medical drama series, ‘Heartbeats’, on November 29. The series, which is available for free streaming, takes viewers into the fast-paced and emotionally charged lives of young medical interns working at Gayatri Devi Hospital & Medical College in small-town Delhi.
Produced by Rusk Media, ‘Heartbeats’ stars Harsh Beniwal and Shivangi Joshi, along with Nishant Malkani, Yuvraj Dua, and others. Set against the backdrop of a bustling medical college, the series highlights the struggles of interns navigating intense medical emergencies, personal ambitions, and complicated relationships.
Shivangi Joshi, who plays the role of Saanjh, described her character as a “beautifully layered” one, combining ambition and vulnerability. She added, “Stepping into her world was an incredible journey for me. Heartbeats brings a perfect mix of drama, romance, and hope, and I’m sure it will leave the audience feeling inspired and deeply moved.”
Harsh Beniwal, who portrays Akshat, a small-town boy with big dreams, shared his excitement for the project, noting, “Akshat’s story is one of hope and resilience, something I feel everyone can connect with. His journey is filled with moments that are bound to make you laugh, cry, and reflect.”
The trailer offers a glimpse into Akshat’s world, showing him struggling with financial burdens, personal mistakes, and the pressure to succeed. Alongside him is Saanjh, a headstrong peer who challenges him both academically and emotionally. Their shared journey is complicated by the coveted Dr. Ananda Foundation scholarship, setting the stage for a series filled with love, rivalry, broken hearts, and life-or-death decisions.
Amogh Dusad, Head of Content at Amazon MX Player, emphasized that Heartbeats aims to resonate with young viewers, offering a story full of emotional depth. “Heartbeats is your new-age drama that aims to tug at the emotions and ambitions of young audiences. The series not only explores the medical world but also the challenges, relationships, and growth that come with being a budding doctor.”

Heartbeats embodies this vision beautifully, depicting the dreams and challenges of young doctors, their transformative journeys, and their relationships.
