Aman Srivastava has stepped down from his role as Senior Vice-President and Head of Marketing for OAP Digital Business at SonyLIV, marking the end of a significant leadership stint with Sony Pictures Networks India.
According to industry sources, the move brings to a close Srivastava’s second tenure with the network, where he has been associated since 2015 and played a pivotal role in shaping both its television and digital marketing strategies.
Over the past decade, Srivastava handled multiple high-impact portfolios within Sony Pictures Networks India, spanning both broadcast and OTT ecosystems. His responsibilities included leading marketing initiatives for SonyLIV, driving audience and brand strategy for Sony Entertainment Television (SET), and contributing to channel launches as well as international business expansion.
Known for his strategic approach to audience engagement and brand positioning, Srivastava was instrumental in strengthening SonyLIV’s presence in an increasingly competitive OTT landscape. His work across platforms reflected a deep understanding of evolving viewer behaviour and the shift towards digital-first consumption.
Prior to his stint at Sony, Srivastava held key leadership roles across major media organisations. He served as Head of Marketing for the youth and movie channel business at The Walt Disney Company, and also worked with Viacom18 and Zee Telefilms, focusing on content strategy and domestic growth. His earlier experience includes working with Turner International India, where he specialised in international business and audience development, along with a stint at MediaCom, building expertise in media planning and digital marketing.
Srivastava’s exit comes at a time when competition in the OTT space continues to intensify, with platforms sharpening their content and marketing strategies. His departure marks the end of a key chapter for SonyLIV’s marketing leadership as the platform continues to evolve in India’s dynamic streaming ecosystem.
